We traveled to this stunning location to photograph Samantha’s Bridal portraits. They are just so so stunning the bride couldn’t wait to view these images, her fiancee is strictly forbidden to view these images lol so for now , these will only be posted on my website, with a link posted on social media. Individual images will not be published on social media.
Apart from the location being so beautiful, the entire experience was one of the most fun I’ve ever had! Especially towards the end, when two GIANT mules came running to us through the field and basically were preventing us from climbing back out of the fence lol. After even attempting to bribe the mules with cupcakes (all the food we had) with no success, the only way out for the bride with these mules in our way , was that she undress completely (thankfully we had a bed sheet) and climb over the fence . This will be a session I will always remember!
I cannot wait to photograph their big day in January !
After seeing the beautiful sunflower fields year after year, this year I was granted permission to host sunflower sessions on this beautiful property! Here are a few from the sessions so far. Cotton fields will be coming up in September .
3 years ago, Eddie was mine and my husbands best friend , who hadn't found his match, and honestly it was driving me crazy to see him so sad and feeling lonely. He just kept meeting the wrong women. I decided to step in and begin a search for him for someone I would approve (because I only want the best for my friends). I made a public facebook post in search of a lucky lady (without putting any details about him nor his photo). Although he did let me take a awesome photo of him to share with any lucky ladies that were approved for phase 1 of the search.
At that time, Valerie was my daughter's ballet teacher. Surprisingly , Valerie messaged me saying she was interested in knowing more , and that she was ready to get back into the dating scene. I told her a little bit about him and sent her his photo. Her reply was... " I think I know him". Well long story short, he dated her roommate, and they secretly had a crush on each other. Valerie and Eddie decided to give it a shot and have their first official date.
The longer they dated , the more and more infatuated they were with each other, and overtime the love they had could be spotted from miles away. Eddie asked me to help him prepare the perfect proposal. He wanted a gazebo with lights to create a romantic setting. He set a date when he planned to propose, well it just so happened that it was when we had that massive night snow storm in Tuscaloosa. That didn't stop him! Nor me! I just had to drive 5 mph on the interstate.
As I hid in the dark at CL Salon 's in Tuscaloosa AL patio deck, with snow piling up on me, my speaker played "Flightless Bird, American Mouth", and the nearby neighbors around the salon wondered what the heck I was doing... Mr. Pacman , under romantically lit gazebo, got down on one knee, and asked Valerie if she would become "Mrs Pacman".
She she yes of course !
Their Wedding ceremony and reception was absolutely beautiful ! They were officially Mr & Mrs Pacman!
Well, after experiencing a little angel getting their wings too soon during their first pregnancy , they were blessed with a beautiful miracle! They are expecting their Rainbow baby!
Ever since I found out, I immediately told them I HAD to photograph their maternity session! Here is a sneak peek into their Maternity Session, celebrating Jack, their blessing, their beautiful rainbow baby!
We are soo excited, and cannot wait to hold and love on him! ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS LEFT!!
Sometimes a photo-session is the best way to celebrate your wedding anniversary ! Chancee and Justin are two of my closest friends, and I can honestly say , all of the young women and men should thrive to have a relationship like these two have! They are two of the most supportive husband and wife I've ever come across, and I'm pretty sure that is the key to a happy 12 YEARS of marriage, and counting ! I love you guys! I wish you many many more years of happiness together!
Sidenote: Chancee is the owner and massage therapist at "Chancee's Spa" in Tuscaloosa AL. Her, and the staff are wonderful! You should go check them out!
I just love shooting senior portrait sessions! Each and every single girl I've photographed has been such a beauty! Anna Scott will be pursuing a career in cosmetology and I wish her all of the best!
Julianne will be graduating with a degree in Music Therapy. She is my daughter's guitar and voice instructor. She will go on to do wonderful things with her career, and I am so happy that my daughter looks up to her . Such a wonderful example she sets. Congratulations Julianne! We wish you all the success in your career.
What a busy couple of little ones! They were such a treat to photograph, and it was perfect timing because I needed the workout! These two cuties sure kept us on the move and VERY entertained!
Hey there! So today since I had a pretty slow day, so I decided to create a video to show the process of editing an image. Each image I edit is done differently, sometimes I'll add sun-rays, animals (for the little ones), and other times like today I did a basic editing session.
This is my very first editing video, it is set at a fast speed play to hopefully not put you to sleep. I do not have a cookie cutter style of editing. I never edit a image the same as all others. My editing style changes, the editing mood changes, I edit by how an image makes me feel.
Out of all steps taken from the moment you book, to the time your images are delivered, Editing is by far the most time consuming step of all.
One thing that breaks my heart , is when clients or prospects see pricing and immediately turn away, not considering the time a photographer puts into not just the shooting the session, but also : driving to and from the session, culling through the images, publishing proofs, and the part that seems to always get overlooked and to be most under-credited is the Editing. My Editing style sets me apart from every other photographer.
I unfortunately do not have a time-clock to punch into daily, and its really easy to get carried away in the editing process. My time is just as valuable as anyone else's when they are on their job. I am just fortunate enough to be able work doing something I love.
Im not going to lie , I've had some images that really only took me about 5-10 minutes, but 90% of the time each image will take anywhere from 15-25 including the time it takes to make minor adjustments, crop, and in-depth editing.
Enjoy this behind the scenes look at a editing session! Be sure you click the HD High quality view mode on the bottom right of the video player.
This is one of my favorite little princesses!
When I say I LOVE watching these babies grow through my lens, this is exactly what I am talking about. It all began when Hadleigh's mommy was patiently waiting on her little beauty to make her debut, next I received the call to head to the hospital & capture her arrival. That was the first time Hadleigh saw my camera, and I am pretty certain she remembers it because she is always a total tiny pro , full of patience.
Hadleigh has had a tough medical road shortly after she was born , and continues to require a lot of special medical attention, but you would never guess that by looking at her beautiful smile that will light up a room and warm your heart!
Capturing little Hadleigh for her 2nd birthday is such a joy! She is full of personality, and such a silly girl! I cannot wait to continue watching you grow Hadleigh, Happy Birthday Princess!!
Enjoy the slide of this little one growing in front of my lens!
